Granite, Quartz & Marble Countertops in Candler, NC
A countertop project in Candler usually shows up in the middle of something bigger, a kitchen redo in an established home off Smoky Park Highway, a bath update, or a west-side build that has to stay on schedule. Mountain Empire Stoneworks makes that decision easier by letting you see full slabs, pick the exact stone, and keep fabrication and installation with one team. Here is what you can count on:
- see and hand-select your slab from full material, not a small sample
- in-house CNC fabrication for accurate, repeatable cuts
- professional installation for homes and commercial spaces across the Candler area

Countertop Materials Available in
Candler, NC
Candler blends longtime family homes with newer construction across the Hominy Valley, so the right countertop often comes down to how it wears day to day and how it suits the character of the house. Mountain Empire Stoneworks works with granite, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, marble, soapstone, solid surfaces, and compact surfaces, and we help you compare real slabs before anything is cut.
Granite Countertops in Candler
Granite gives a Candler kitchen a hard-wearing natural surface with real movement, which suits busy family homes that take heavy daily use. We stock granite in red, green, gray and white, gold, yellow and cream, brown and suede, blue, and black. Seeing the full slab shows how the pattern reads across an island. Quartz Countertops in Candler
Quartz is a practical pick for newer Candler homes where a clean, consistent look ties the kitchen together. We carry quartz from Zodiaq®, Viatera, Silestone, IceStone, HanStone, and Corian. Comparing it in person next to your cabinetry takes the guesswork out of matching finishes. Learn more about quartz countertops.
Quartzite Countertops in Candler
Quartzite is a natural stone with bold movement and real slab presence, a good fit when you want the counter to be the focal point of the room. Every slab differs, so what you see in person is what you get. It holds up well in kitchens meant to stand out.
Marble Countertops in Candler
Marble brings soft veining and a classic look that tends to shine on bathroom vanities and feature surfaces. It asks for more care than some materials, so we walk through the practical side honestly before you decide. See marble countertops.
Porcelain Countertops in Candler
Porcelain offers a controlled, low-variation surface that suits the more modern interiors going into newer Candler builds. It pairs cleanly with contemporary cabinets and fixtures without heavy natural pattern. Our team can line it up against stone and other engineered options so the differences are clear.
Soapstone Countertops in Candler
Soapstone has a quiet, understated character with a smooth feel and gentle variation. It can suit Candler homeowners who want natural stone that calms a room rather than competes with it. Touching it in person is the best way to judge its tone and feel.
Solid Surface Countertops in Candler
Solid surfaces give a seamless, uniform finish without natural stone variation, which fits projects where steady color and clean lines matter most. They are worth comparing when consistency is the priority. We can set them beside granite, quartz, and marble so the choice is easy to see.
Compact Surface Countertops in Candler
Compact surfaces deliver a modern look with minimal movement for a simplified, contemporary design. They are worth a look if you want a low-pattern surface that stays visually calm. Our team can walk you through how they stack up against granite, quartzite, porcelain, marble, soapstone, and solid surfaces.

When choosing a company for your next counter or stone project its important to look at the facts. Everyone says they will take care of you and do a good job but this company actually does. From my sales person, Sabrina, to my installer, Jose, my experience was great. Sabrina communicated clearly and efficiently at every step of the transaction to make me feel confident the job would be done on time and correctly. The installer was professiinal and prompt. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure to ask me little details to make sure i had everything exactly how i wanted it. The seams were so clean that when the customer came to look, she thought it was 1 huge piece! There were some slight issues with the fit of the stone in the beginning and they not only made sure to immediately fix it, they took care of me, making the entire transaction easy and seamless. Not only are the counters beautiful, Ive built a repeat relationship with them where i will now use them for all of my companies installs. When it comes time to decide who to use for your next project....id trust them. The world is filled with many businesses and people who don't do what they say and say what they do. Why deal with that when you can be working with people of integrity? Thank you to you guys for the wonderful job and the excellent customer service. We need more people like each of you.Posted on Google![]()

The Mountain Empire Stoneworks showroom is at 133 Weaverville Rd #1, Asheville, NC 28804, an easy drive from Candler. You can view full slabs in person, compare material options, and talk through your project with our team before deciding on a direction.
What countertop materials can I choose from for a Candler project?
We work with granite, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, marble, soapstone, solid surfaces, and compact surfaces, with remnant stone sometimes available depending on inventory. Our team can help you compare them by appearance, daily use, and upkeep so the material fits how you live.
What is the difference between granite and quartz countertops?
Granite and quartz solve different problems. Granite is natural stone, so every slab carries its own color and movement and no two tops match. Quartz is engineered, which gives a steady, uniform look with low upkeep. Homeowners who want natural character lean granite, while those coordinating a clean, matched kitchen often prefer quartz. Seeing both in person settles it.

No. Many Candler homeowners reach out while they are still deciding. You can visit the showroom, see full slabs, and talk through how granite, quartz, marble, and other materials compare before you commit to anything.
Do you handle both fabrication and installation for Candler homes and businesses?
Yes. Mountain Empire Stoneworks provides in-house CNC fabrication and professional installation for residential and commercial projects in Candler and west Asheville. Keeping both under one team supports accurate fabrication and a smoother, better-coordinated install.
