Countertop Materials Available in
Biltmore Forest, NC
Biltmore Forest homes tend to carry real architectural character, so the countertop often has to complement existing millwork, flooring, and cabinetry rather than fight it. Mountain Empire Stoneworks works with granite, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, marble, soapstone, solid surfaces, and compact surfaces, and we help you compare full slabs against the room before anything is cut.
Granite Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Granite brings depth, natural movement, and lasting durability to a Biltmore Forest kitchen, which suits homes meant to age gracefully. We offer granite in red, green, gray and white, gold, yellow and cream, brown and suede, blue, and black. Reviewing the full slab shows how the stone will read against fine cabinetry. Quartz Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Quartz is a practical pick for newer Candler homes where a clean, consistent look ties the kitchen together. We carry quartz from Zodiaq®, Viatera, Silestone, IceStone, HanStone, and Corian. Comparing it in person next to your cabinetry takes the guesswork out of matching finishes. Learn more about quartz countertops.
Quartzite Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Quartzite offers the dramatic veining many design-driven homes want with the hardness of a durable natural stone. Because every slab is unique, viewing the whole piece is the only way to judge its movement and tone. It suits kitchens and vanities where the stone is a deliberate focal point.
Marble Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Marble is the classic choice for elegant kitchens and vanities, prized for its veining and soft, refined character. It etches and asks for care, so we are candid about that reality up front, helping the right homeowner choose it with full confidence. See marble countertops.
Porcelain Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Porcelain delivers a refined, low-variation surface with a thin, contemporary profile that suits modern interiors and specialty applications. It holds a consistent look and coordinates cleanly with sleek fixtures and cabinetry. Our team can compare porcelain against stone so you see where it best serves the design.
Soapstone Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Soapstone offers a soft, understated elegance with a smooth feel and gentle variation that suits refined traditional interiors. Its quiet, lower-contrast look adds warmth without demanding attention. Seeing and handling it in person is the best way to judge whether its character fits the room.
Solid Surface Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Solid surfaces provide a seamless, uniform finish with integrated options that suit clean, contemporary designs and specialty spaces. They are worth comparing where consistency and smooth transitions matter most. We can set them beside granite, quartz, and marble so the trade-offs are easy to see.
Compact Surface Countertops in Biltmore Forest
Compact surfaces bring a modern, minimal-movement appearance for a restrained, architectural look. They are worth reviewing alongside the full material menu. Our team can explain how they compare with granite, quartzite, porcelain, marble, soapstone, and solid surfaces.

When choosing a company for your next counter or stone project its important to look at the facts. Everyone says they will take care of you and do a good job but this company actually does. From my sales person, Sabrina, to my installer, Jose, my experience was great. Sabrina communicated clearly and efficiently at every step of the transaction to make me feel confident the job would be done on time and correctly. The installer was professiinal and prompt. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure to ask me little details to make sure i had everything exactly how i wanted it. The seams were so clean that when the customer came to look, she thought it was 1 huge piece! There were some slight issues with the fit of the stone in the beginning and they not only made sure to immediately fix it, they took care of me, making the entire transaction easy and seamless. Not only are the counters beautiful, Ive built a repeat relationship with them where i will now use them for all of my companies installs. When it comes time to decide who to use for your next project....id trust them. The world is filled with many businesses and people who don't do what they say and say what they do. Why deal with that when you can be working with people of integrity? Thank you to you guys for the wonderful job and the excellent customer service. We need more people like each of you.Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions About Countertops in Biltmore Forest, NC
Where can I find countertops near me in Candler, NC?
Mountain Empire Stoneworks serves Biltmore Forest and the south Asheville area with custom countertops, full-slab selection, in-house CNC fabrication, and professional installation. Our showroom is at 133 Weaverville Rd #1 in Asheville, a short drive north. Start with a showroom visit or a quote request to review slabs and plan your next step.
Is your countertop showroom near Biltmore Forest, NC?
Yes. The Mountain Empire Stoneworks showroom is at 133 Weaverville Rd #1, Asheville, NC 28804, a short drive north of Biltmore Forest. You can view full slabs in person, compare material options, and discuss your project with our team before deciding on a direction.
What is the difference between marble and quartzite countertops?
Both offer striking natural veining, but they behave differently. Marble is softer and etches over time, developing a patina the right homeowner accepts. Quartzite is a harder natural stone that better resists everyday wear while still delivering bold movement. Seeing both in person helps you match the material to how the kitchen will be used.
Do you work with interior designers and architects in Biltmore Forest?
Yes. We regularly support designers and architects with material guidance, full-slab selection, in-house CNC fabrication, and professional installation. Our team can coordinate slab selection, edge and seam detailing, and install timing so the stonework fits into a larger design plan.
Can I hand-select a statement slab before fabrication?
Yes. Full-slab selection is central to how we work. For a feature kitchen or vanity, viewing the entire slab lets you judge the true color, veining, and movement before anything is cut, which is essential with expressive natural stones like marble, quartzite, and granite.
Do you handle both fabrication and installation for Biltmore Forest homes?
Yes. Mountain Empire Stoneworks provides in-house CNC fabrication and professional installation for residential projects in Biltmore Forest and south Asheville. Keeping both under one team supports precise fabrication, clean seams, and a careful, well-coordinated install in a finished home.
